Bob, le Zombie

Each year, Koko arrose la culture is responsible for the making of a video summary from the BIFFF (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival). This short video is projected to a large audience during the closing ceremony from the festival. This year (2010), we have decided to go a little further than before, by the integration of a scripted storyline around a fictional character: Bob the Zombie.

Our goal was thus to make a short-movie (shot like a TV documentary) about the wonderful experience Bob felt when he discovered for the very first time this (unique) film festival.

Bob le Zombie, épisode 1 from Emmanuel Decarpentrie on Vimeo.

For you should know that Bob is a depressive and lonely character who's desperately trying to meet other zombies -- the only beings able to fully understand him as well as to share some fresh scout's flesh together with him. It is quite hard indeed for human eating zombies to find some good friends nowadays. Especially when you consider that, in the real world, zombies are extremely hard to be found, unlike in the zombie-genre movies which Bob is very fond of even though watching these movies tend to make him sad and depressive.

Fortunately for Bob, thanks to a tip from the cameraman who's following Bob every day, Bob discovers the BIFFF. This new experience opens up quite a few opportunities to meet numerous zombies, including a pretty female-zombie -- Bobette, who marries him at first sight. There is only one remaining issue for Bob: where will he find enough meat to feed all these new friends?
