Drakulen-Pis

In 1987 we got the idea for Drakulen-Pis at the occasion of the first visit of legendary British actor Christopher Lee to the festival. We thought it was about time to refresh the look of our Drakulen-Pis. Janine Eichenberger took care of the costume, while Michaël Loncin created the new mask.  

Twenty three years after his Carpathian style face lift, our naked troublemaker was again in the limelight on March 11th 2010, for our 28th BIFFF Press conference. Surrounded by his seven godfathers - Harry Kümel, Jean-Baptiste Baronian, Jaco Van Dormael, Harry Cleven, Nadine Monfils, Jean-Henri Compère, Pieter Van Hees – our Manneken-Pis and his sharpened canine teeth drew his favorite weapon in front of an assembly of dehydrated journalists and partners, seemingly happy to be sprayed with the Cuvée des Trolls! We don’t even dare imagine what the tourists passing through the capital could have been thinking…
